Holders of a Thai Privilege Visa may still need to present themselves in-person to the Thai Immigration Authorities:
- To complete their mandatory 90-day reporting task every 3 months.*
- If not wanting to leave at the end of the full year and if wanting to stay for a few extra days, members will need to head over to the immigration office to request for an extension.
*NOTE: Members can appoint an agent to report on their behalf for free, granting a pass from having to present themselves in-person. However, attending immigration in-person is also an option.
For the above, you can head over to the Thai Immigration Bureau (Immigration Division 1: Government Complex) on Chaengwattana Road to meet with a Thai immigration officer.
Other visa holders may need to visit immigration to extend or renew their visa. With a Thai Privilege Visa, members only need to visit the airport every 5 years to renew the visas they were entitled to as part of their membership. Once they have stayed in Thailand for a full year, they can reset the clock by leaving the country and re-entering the next to get their stamp at the airport, no re-entry permits required.
