Before you go through the background check, there are steps that you need to do beforehand. This includes:
- Fill out and sign the Thai Elite application form.
- Sign the Personal Data Protection Act form.
- Take a photo of yourself in front of a white background.
- Get a photocopy of your passport.
If you are applying through a GSSA agent like Siam Legal, they will collect the documents that are listed above from you. Then they will be forwarded to Thai Immigration Authorities for a background check. This will include the following:
- History of ED visas (if not genuine) and/or volunteer visas if they visited Thailand in the past
- Removal orders, overstays, and/or blacklists
- Bankruptcies
- Criminal record history
The process takes 4 to 6 weeks, varying based on the applicant’s immigration status and history. Officials assess the applicant’s history, both in Thailand and other countries.
The outcome of the background check will be communicated via email. If approved, Thailand Elite will send an invoice and an acceptance letter to the applicant.
