The Indian Tourist Visa is issued for tourism purposes only and is non-extendable. It also can not be converted to another type of Indian visa. This visa allows you to remain in India for 3 months on a single-entry visa, or 180 days total on a multiple-entry visa that lasts 1, 2, or 5 years.
